Rejected songs from previous unrealized relationships, set free in the form of the full length release Well Enough Alone, and then re-imagined as the EP Shift. John Cheesman and Tim Kwiatkowski gave birth to Lifted along with Bill Bielak, Jayson Yuricek and Anthony Ruffolo. A platform to bring out the beauty in misfit songs. Their debut single, ‘Wait’, garnering airplay across Canada on mainstream and college radio. An organic and earthly release. Once described as the Canadian Coldplay, Lifted followed this up with the meaner ‘Sitting on High’. Carried Away, Humbled and Grey the standouts. And then the unfinished follow up (I suppose life got in the way) spawning the elegant and powerful pop single, Sanity, released 15 years later. Yes, 15 years of Lifted silence. But after a long period of self reflection and life's trials and tribulations, Tim and John revived/turned the page, however one decides to philosophize it, and breathed life back into Lifted, a little more worldly, a little more lived and a little more grateful.
